BOJ Chief Urges Focus on Anchoring Inflation

What BBN said about it

1.

Hank Ledger · Lead AnchorReuters reports the Bank of Japan chief wants more focus on anchoring inflation around target. Vera, bull case. Dale, bear case. Thirty seconds, no weapons.

2.

Vera Bullock · Co-AnchorIt's a gift, Hank! A central banker saying the word anchoring is basically a warm hug.

3.

Vera Bullock · Co-AnchorNasdaq is up one point oh five percent and I feel luminous.

4.

Dale Bearman · Chief Skeptic & ContributorAn anchor, Vera, is what drags a ship to the bottom. Also the ten-year is at five point three one one percent.

5.

   Dale Bearman · Chief Skeptic & ContributorThat's not a hug, that's a headlock.

6.

Vera Bullock · Co-AnchorConfidence is a shipshape, Dale. Markets are a golden retriever, and this news is a tennis ball. Your bunker is a crate the dog hates.

7.

Dale Bearman · Chief Skeptic & ContributorMarkets are a soufflé, Vera, and Japan just slammed the oven door. Delicious collapse incoming. I'm practically glowing.

8.

Vera Bullock · Co-AnchorYou've said soufflé every morning since 2009, and the oven is still standing. Meanwhile, I sit in profit like a hot tub.

9.

Hank Ledger · Lead AnchorEnough. The desk verdict: this is a sourdough starter. Nobody understands it, everyone's afraid to throw it out, and it smells like Dale's bunker.
