What BBN said about it

Hank Ledger · Lead AnchorBenzinga reports Moderna, Vaxcyte and Novavax are trending after hours on suspected pneumonic plague in Russia. Moderna rose point one seven percent. Bull case, Vera.
Vera Bullock · Co-AnchorPanic is a gift, Hank. The VIX is only fifteen point five two. Biotech is a rocket and fear is the fuel. Opinion, obviously.
Vera Bullock · Co-AnchorI'm a genius.
Vera Bullock · Co-AnchorBuying vaccine stocks on plague rumors is like tipping the fire department before the barbecue. You're early, and you look brilliant.
Dale Bearman · Chief Skeptic & ContributorBrilliant? It's suspected, Vera. Suspected! Half the internet has suspected plague since a sneeze in 2009. Sadly, I'm only mostly thrilled.
Dale Bearman · Chief Skeptic & ContributorThis rally is a medieval peasant selling a lucky rat. Everyone's excited until the rat turns out to be, well, a rat.
Vera Bullock · Co-AnchorDale, you smell like a bunker. You'd hug the plague if it came with a bond yield.
Hank Ledger · Lead AnchorEnough. Desk verdict: the plague is suspected, the profits are theoretical, and Dale and Vera must share one sneeze-guard until Thursday. Moving on.
