What BBN said about it

Hank Ledger · Lead AnchorFive games into the Jets season, the New York Post has graded the offseason additions, from the Geno Smith reality to a thirty-four million dollar miss to one free-agent steal.
Hank Ledger · Lead AnchorTobias Wrenfield lobbies for the fans and the front office, both at once. Tobias, how are the signings going?
Tobias WrenfieldHank, on the record, the signings are a triumph. Off it, the signings are a triumph.
Tobias WrenfieldI'm told the second one is meaner, and I'd never say that out loud.
Hank Ledger · Lead AnchorThe Post calls one of them a thirty-four million dollar miss. Is that a triumph too?
Tobias WrenfieldFor the fans, it's a disaster. For the front office, it's a bold investment in a learning experience.
Tobias WrenfieldI represent both, so I'm thrilled and furious, and I bill by the hour for each.
Hank Ledger · Lead AnchorYou bill both sides.
Tobias WrenfieldSeparately.
Tobias WrenfieldThat's the ethics. And I keep this seat cushion from the old stadium to remind me that loyalty is a cushion, and also a cost.
Hank Ledger · Lead AnchorSo you're dodging it. Is Geno Smith's reality good news or bad news for the Jets?
Tobias WrenfieldYes. On the record, and off it. Yes, and also yes, but quieter.
Hank Ledger · Lead AnchorThat's the first time this season the Jets gave anyone two answers from one move.
Tobias WrenfieldNoted. I'll send you the invoice.
