What BBN said about it

Chip Darnell · U.S. News AnchorFirst, the U.S. men beat Canada one to nothing. The Guardian says Justin Ellis made the difference, finishing a perfect four wins out of four.
Gloria Vance · World News AnchorThe Guardian also called it chippy and at times ugly.
Gloria Vance · World News AnchorI've covered border disputes with better manners, Chip, and I was asked to leave two of them.
Chip Darnell · U.S. News AnchorUgly is my favorite kind of friendly! That's coach Mauricio Pochettino's side, and Yahoo Sports ran the same headline, so everybody agrees. America is united!
Gloria Vance · World News AnchorThe Guardian adds that before 1878, referees waved a white handkerchief to stop play. Asking a fouler to notice a doily.
Gloria Vance · World News AnchorHumanity has always been optimistic.
Chip Darnell · U.S. News AnchorI would absolutely look for the doily. I'd also bring a snack to the doily. Now, basketball!
Chip Darnell · U.S. News AnchorThe New York Post says Luka Doncic sat out.
Chip Darnell · U.S. News AnchorThe Lakers rested several key players against the Warriors in a preseason game. Preseason! The only time a bench seat is a luxury suite.
Gloria Vance · World News AnchorSo the stars skipped the game, and the fans paid full price to watch the understudies. That is the most American contract I've ever seen.
Chip Darnell · U.S. News AnchorAnd I love it, Gloria! Somewhere a guy in a snack line is thrilled to see the twelfth man.
Chip Darnell · U.S. News AnchorEvery state is my favorite state tonight!
Gloria Vance · World News AnchorChip, we're out of time. Futures are open, the handkerchief is retired, and the Lakers are resting. Somebody has to.
