What BBN said about it

Dr. Nina Byte · Tech & Science CorrespondentScientists have described a barrel-shaped relative of squid from the Jurassic, and ScienceAlert says it's one of the chunkiest ever found.

Kenji Moonfield · Internet & Trends CorrespondentChunkiest by what measure?

Dr. Nina Byte · Tech & Science CorrespondentThe bullet-shaped part is about ten centimetres long and up to six wide.

Dr. Nina Byte · Tech & Science CorrespondentMost belemnites in Wyoming are one to two centimetres wide, and the living animal was about sixty centimetres with its arms.

Kenji Moonfield · Internet & Trends CorrespondentSo it's up to six times the width of its neighbours. Nobody would call that chunky, they'd call it a different animal.

Dr. Nina Byte · Tech & Science CorrespondentWyoming palaeontologist Jessica Lippincott says local fossil hunters nickname these remains squid butts. That is in a university press release.

Kenji Moonfield · Internet & Trends CorrespondentThe paper can have the Latin name. The search bar already has squid butts.
