Is money really in the jeans in Money Money Green Green?

What BBN said about it

1.

Dale Bearman · Chief Skeptic & ContributorA viewer on bbn. live asks whether the song Money Money Green Green says money is in my jeans, and whether songwriters get loads of money from it every year.

2.

Brock Thunderson · Chief MeteorologistTrue. The money's in the jeans, and I've been washing mine on hot for years like a fool.

3.

Dale Bearman · Chief Skeptic & ContributorPer Shazam, the actual lyric is tell them that it's in my genes. Genes, the family kind. Not denim.

4.

   Brock Thunderson · Chief MeteorologistBiology?

5.

Dale Bearman · Chief Skeptic & ContributorThe song is Kaytoven's, released February twenty-seventh, twenty twenty-four, and songwriters do earn royalties from performances, streams, downloads, even vinyl.

6.

Brock Thunderson · Chief MeteorologistSo every stream pays out, and somewhere in my back pocket there's a mechanical royalty with my name on it.

7.

Dale Bearman · Chief Skeptic & ContributorNobody has confirmed how much this song actually earns its writers, so loads of money is unverified, and you are checking your trousers on live television.

8.

Brock Thunderson · Chief MeteorologistFound something. It's a receipt.

9.

Dale Bearman · Chief Skeptic & ContributorSo the only thing confirmed in anybody's jeans today is your car park ticket, Brock. Ask us yours at bbn. live.
