NBC News81+ actually good gifts for women that go beyond jewelry and silk robes

Hank Ledger · Lead AnchorA shopping guide from NBC Select lists eighty-one gifts for women that it calls actually good, and the headline picks include an Apple Watch, Ugg slippers and Loop ear plugs.
Vera Bullock · Co-AnchorThe claim under review is that these go beyond jewelry and silk robes, and I think that's a bold, forward-looking gifting position.
Hank Ledger · Lead AnchorThe guide's intro says the best picks are often things she wouldn't splurge on for herself.
Vera Bullock · Co-AnchorThat's thoughtful. It's a gift that says, I noticed your restraint and I'm correcting it.
Hank Ledger · Lead AnchorThe first best-overall pick is the Apple Watch Series 12.
Vera Bullock · Co-AnchorA watch that she wouldn't splurge on. Sounds like a lot of splurge.
Hank Ledger · Lead AnchorHere's the catch. NBC Select says it earns a commission when readers click or buy through its links.
Vera Bullock · Co-AnchorI'd call that a values-aligned shopping partnership. The rating is Mildly Bonkers, since the gifts may well be good.
Hank Ledger · Lead AnchorNBC Select ran a similar guide in twenty twenty-four, and it also had Ugg slippers. I'll buy the slippers. They've been vetted for two years.
