What BBN said about it
Vera Bullock · Co-AnchorCBS News reports hundreds of thousands of people are without power after Isaias came ashore near Destin, Florida, as a hurricane Friday night.
Vera Bullock · Co-AnchorJoining us from an undisclosed wellness retreat is intention strategist Marisol Quint. Marisol, you say people can think their way out of hurricane damage?
Marisol QuintVera, storms arrive where energy is blocked. Those people were thinking about outages.
Marisol QuintI have four bars of signal, so I can say this clearly.
Vera Bullock · Co-AnchorThey were thinking about outages.
Marisol QuintCollectively. Nobody hurricanes alone. Hold on. I'm striking my singing bowl to clear the Gulf.
Vera Bullock · Co-AnchorDoes the bowl have a range?
Marisol QuintWide. And I'm down to three bars, which is the Gulf testing me.
Vera Bullock · Co-AnchorThe lights behind you just flickered, Marisol. Is your retreat on the grid?
Marisol QuintThe retreat is powered by gratitude. And, fine, a generator and a hair dryer cord. Two bars now.
Vera Bullock · Co-AnchorHundreds of thousands of people are in the dark, and your fix is to ring a bowl.
Marisol QuintVera, if everyone just believed in electricity, we would not need a utility. One bar. Breathe in the damp.
Vera Bullock · Co-AnchorBreathe in what?
Marisol QuintVisualize the signal returning, visualize the bowl, visualize me, visualize, visualize...
Vera Bullock · Co-AnchorShe's gone. The generator must have finally overloaded. Gloria, how are people actually preparing for the next storm?
