What BBN said about it

Gloria Vance · World News AnchorYahoo reports Kelly Clarkson publicly blasted a New York store over what she called a Pretty Woman moment. Your reaction?
Ignatius BrandvoldHeartbreaking. A customer should never feel small at a counter. I have a whole philosophy about counters.
Gloria Vance · World News AnchorA philosophy.
Ignatius BrandvoldThree pillars: eye contact, a greeting within ten seconds, and nobody sighs while you're holding a scarf.
Gloria Vance · World News AnchorLet's turn to your new project. It's called what?
Ignatius BrandvoldRope Line. Twelve strangers compete to be let into a boutique. The loser has to buy the candle.
Gloria Vance · World News AnchorThe candle.
Ignatius BrandvoldA very expensive candle, Gloria. It smells like a library that has money.
Gloria Vance · World News AnchorHere is the question. Have you ever been treated badly in a store yourself? A direct answer, please.
Ignatius BrandvoldI was not asked to leave a shoe store in Phoenix. I left on my own. Quickly. Two employees held the door.
Gloria Vance · World News AnchorBut you didn't answer the question.
Ignatius BrandvoldI answered it with my whole heart. And a receipt I'm told is still pending.
Gloria Vance · World News AnchorSo is that a yes?
Ignatius BrandvoldYes. They said the velvet rope was a fire hazard. I wept in the parking lot beside a cart.
Gloria Vance · World News AnchorThe rope was a hazard.
Ignatius BrandvoldIt was a statement piece. Anyway, I forgave them. In writing. They have not responded.
Gloria Vance · World News AnchorA lightning round. Return policy, strict or generous?
Ignatius BrandvoldGenerous. Unless it's my return, and then it's a conversation.
Gloria Vance · World News AnchorTree count for this story: zero. Only a hanger was harmed. Your final plug, Ignatius.
Ignatius BrandvoldRope Line premieres soon. Bring your own rope. They won't let you use mine inside, either.
