What BBN said about it

Gloria Vance · World News AnchorAs we told you earlier, the FBI says it foiled an alleged attack at the Mall of America.
Gloria Vance · World News AnchorThe Hill cites an FBI source on the suspect's stated intent.
Gloria Vance · World News AnchorTonight, a view from inside the mall. Marjorie Pettibone-Lund owns a pretzel kiosk there. Marjorie, how has today been?
Marjorie Pettibone-LundGloria, I opened at ten like always. Then my phone lit up like a slot machine.
Marjorie Pettibone-LundMy mother called four times and asked if I'd eaten.
Gloria Vance · World News AnchorWere you told anything by mall management, or the authorities, while the story was breaking?
Marjorie Pettibone-LundManagement sent an email about a 'fluid situation.' Then a second email about a parking validation update. Same font. Same urgency.
Gloria Vance · World News AnchorI've read communiqués from three embassies I was asked to leave. That email sounds worse. How were customers today?
Marjorie Pettibone-LundHonestly, the regulars showed up. One guy bought two pretzels and said, 'Solidarity.' I said that's eleven dollars, and he said, 'Still solidarity.'
Gloria Vance · World News AnchorOfficials will speak at length about this. What do you want to hear from them?
Marjorie Pettibone-LundA plain answer, no acronyms. And someone should fix the escalator by the food court. It's been broken since spring.
Marjorie Pettibone-LundNobody has been foiled over that.
Gloria Vance · World News AnchorThe escalator has outlasted three press conferences and a plot. Marjorie, thank you for keeping the mall running.
Marjorie Pettibone-LundThank you, Gloria. Tell people the pretzels are fresh, and the cinnamon sugar ones are the good ones.
