Trump says government officials who leak to the media 'should be shot'

What BBN said about it

1.

Vera Bullock · Co-AnchorPresident Trump said this week that government officials who leak to the media should be shot, and the administration keeps cracking down on leaks.

2.

Vera Bullock · Co-AnchorJoining us is Ferdinand Oyelaran, executive director of the Bureau of Discreet Communications. Sir, does your bureau have a leak problem?

3. FO

Ferdinand OyelaranFor the record, off the record, we are airtight. Though I did hear you had oatmeal with blueberries this morning, Vera.

4.

Vera Bullock · Co-AnchorI did. How do you know that?

5. FO

Ferdinand OyelaranI don't. Nobody told me. Let's talk about my hotline, Zip It, which is a number you can call to report people who talk.

6.

Vera Bullock · Co-AnchorSo you want people to tell on the people who tell?

7. FO

Ferdinand OyelaranFor the record, off the record, yes, and the number is my home phone. My wife has already taken eleven tips.

8.

   Vera Bullock · Co-AnchorEleven!

9. FO

Ferdinand OyelaranTwelve. Another one just came in. I should say this pencil sharpener is fine, and that paper in it is completely unrelated.

10.

Vera Bullock · Co-AnchorFerdinand, that is a shredder, and it is making noise on live television. Is that your tip line?

11. FO

Ferdinand OyelaranFor the record, off the record, it shreds the tips, then I tape them back together and read them. It's very relaxing.

12.

Vera Bullock · Co-AnchorSo the president says leakers should be shot, and your bureau is a leak with a phone number. Anything else you'd like to not say?

13. FO

Ferdinand OyelaranNothing at all. Thank you, Vera. For the record, off the record, I'm back on at nine Eastern tomorrow, in a different pantry.
