In the three minutes before Leon's 3 AM arrival, Trooper Carla finds his paperback in his open cab trunk with a one-way ticket in Dot's name, and then a man in a suit comes asking for booth four.

CarlaLeon's cab. Parked out back. Trunk open. And he isn't here yet.
DotIt's two fifty-eight, hon. That man's never early. Not once.
CarlaMissing can, open trunk. In my notebook, that's a felony.
