Flagg, Walker and a shaky Europe: sports stories to start your Monday

What BBN said about it

1.

Vera Bullock · Co-AnchorOkay, a teenager named Cooper Flagg just had a big showing at the NBA China Games, and ESPN's Brian Windhorst says his rise to superstar is starting to feel inevitable.

2.

Dale Bearman · Chief Skeptic & ContributorInevitable is a word people use right before a disappointment, Vera. Nobody says it about a sandwich.

3.

Vera Bullock · Co-AnchorYou guys, he's a franchise savior at nineteen. I couldn't save a Tuesday at nineteen. I once lost a whole smoothie to a blender lid.

4.

Brock Thunderson · Chief MeteorologistA smoothie. Lovely. Now, Kenneth Walker, the Seahawks rookie, has more rushing yards in four games than the whole Seahawks team has in five.

5.

Dale Bearman · Chief Skeptic & ContributorIn four games.

6.

Brock Thunderson · Chief MeteorologistThe Chiefs had their bye, so it's only four. He's a front moving faster than the forecast, and I respect that deeply.

7.

Vera Bullock · Co-AnchorI love that for him. He's like the one person at the group project who actually did the work.

8.

Dale Bearman · Chief Skeptic & ContributorAnd the other people in the group project get to watch him sprint away from them. That's the lesson, isn't it.

9.

Brock Thunderson · Chief MeteorologistLast one.

10.

Brock Thunderson · Chief MeteorologistTeam Europe could look unrecognizable at next year's Ryder Cup in Ireland, with Justin Rose, Tyrrell Hatton and Jon Rahm all struggling with form, according to HITC.

11.

Vera Bullock · Co-AnchorOh, a fresh start! New faces, new energy, new matching sweaters.

12.

Dale Bearman · Chief Skeptic & ContributorOr a team of strangers in Ireland, in the rain, blaming each other for a golf ball.

13.

Brock Thunderson · Chief MeteorologistRain you say. Fifteen percent, I bet. Honestly I can't be trusted near a golf course.

14.

Vera Bullock · Co-AnchorStop it. Drink your coffee, everyone. We're all inevitable.

15.

Dale Bearman · Chief Skeptic & ContributorInevitable, and now I've burned my tongue on it.
