What BBN said about it

Chip Darnell · U.S. News AnchorThe Apple TV app has a Top Movies list this afternoon, and I'm told that with the new Apple TV four K coming November thirteenth, a lot of people are about to look at it.
Chip Darnell · U.S. News AnchorSenator Ludmila Garrity joins us from East Marlow.
Senator Ludmila GarrityChip, thank you. Let me say up front that the success of that list is my bill, and I have the scissors to prove it.
Chip Darnell · U.S. News AnchorSo you wrote a bill that made people rent movies on Apple's app?
Senator Ludmila GarrityI wrote a bill about the concept of Friday night, and everything people enjoy since then flows from that.
Senator Ludmila GarrityThe movies are a downstream benefit, and I will be cutting a ribbon on them soon.
Chip Darnell · U.S. News AnchorLet me ask you about the movies that aren't doing well on the list. Who gets the blame there?
Senator Ludmila GarrityThe previous session.
Senator Ludmila GarrityEvery dull plot, every long runtime, every sequel nobody asked for was the previous session, and I'm not going to apologize for people who aren't here.
Chip Darnell · U.S. News AnchorThe previous session wrote sequels?
Senator Ludmila GarrityThree of them.
Senator Ludmila GarrityAnd the buffering, that's also theirs, while the speedy streaming is my bill, which I passed in a committee room with very poor Wi-Fi.
Chip Darnell · U.S. News AnchorSo is that a yes that you have actually watched any of the movies on the list?
Senator Ludmila GarrityI have watched the ribbon being cut on all of them, which my staff tells me counts as watching, and the voice remote is my idea too, since my office voted to ban the old one.
Chip Darnell · U.S. News AnchorYou banned a remote, and then Apple made one you talk to?
Senator Ludmila GarrityCorrect, and I accept the credit. If the voice gets it wrong, that's the previous session's accent.
Chip Darnell · U.S. News AnchorLast question, Senator. Which movie is number one on the list right now?
Senator Ludmila GarrityChip, I'd have known that if the previous session had told me.
