Chip Darnell · U.S. News AnchorSurprise characters? Is that a section at the Spirit Halloween out by the highway? I love that store.
Kenji Moonfield · Internet & Trends CorrespondentNo, it means people searched for them online. The post says you may never have heard of them, and Chip, you haven't.
Chip Darnell · U.S. News AnchorSo where do I buy a trending?
Kenji Moonfield · Internet & Trends CorrespondentYou don't. Half of these characters live in videos that people send each other, and the costume is a wig and a vibe.
Chip Darnell · U.S. News AnchorA vibe in a bag!
Chip Darnell · U.S. News AnchorI'll walk in a store and ask for the one everyone's searching, and the cashier will know exactly who I mean.
Kenji Moonfield · Internet & Trends CorrespondentGo as the one nobody's heard of. That way you're actually dressing as what's trending. Hashtag confusion.
