Thermostat Theory

1. 

   VeraProfessor, the VIX is at fifteen point six six, up three point eight five percent. Is that bad? Asking for a gift from God.

2. 

   Prof. KenjiRule one: fear is just a thermostat, so if you're nervous, open a window. Rule two: only panic when the room smells like soup.

   VeraThat is not a rule. That is a person standing in a kitchen.

   Prof. KenjiRule three: if the number moves, tape over it. Today's range was fifteen point five one to fifteen point six eight.
