What BBN said about it

1.

Hank Ledger · Lead AnchorThe New York Post has published a fact-check of the debate between Governor Kathy Hochul and her challenger, Bruce Blakeman, in the race for New York governor.

2.

Hank Ledger · Lead AnchorThe two sparred over immigration, sexual assault laws, taxes, crime, corrections, energy and the state's business climate, and the Post says some of the claims were nuanced.

3.

Vera Bullock · Co-AnchorNuanced is just a fact that went to therapy and came out with layers.

4.

Vera Bullock · Co-AnchorI think that's beautiful, and I think we should celebrate every one of them.

5.

Hank Ledger · Lead AnchorNuanced means partly true.

6.

Vera Bullock · Co-AnchorOr partly healed.

7.

Vera Bullock · Co-AnchorThe headline names ICE, gas wells and fired corrections officers, so that's three topics, and I'm giving each one a gold star for showing up.

8.

Hank Ledger · Lead AnchorA gold star for a gas well.

9.

Vera Bullock · Co-AnchorEvery claim is on a journey, Hank.

10.

Vera Bullock · Co-AnchorSome are true, some are nuanced, and some are still finding their facts, and I will not shame any of them.

11.

Hank Ledger · Lead AnchorI'd like to grade them the old way, with a red pen and a drawer I can lock.

12.

Hank Ledger · Lead AnchorRight, wrong, or it depends, and the whole debate goes in the third drawer.

13.

Vera Bullock · Co-AnchorThird drawer, personal best.
