What BBN said about it

Hank Ledger · Lead AnchorMayor Zohran Mamdani and other New York Democrats have asked parking garage and lot owners in the city to keep Immigration and Customs Enforcement from using their private property as staging areas, according to the Washington Examiner.
Hank Ledger · Lead AnchorThe request came in a letter on Friday, more than a week after an ICE officer, and the report's summary cuts off there, so that is all we have on the trigger.
Vera Bullock · Co-AnchorA letter. Not a lawsuit, not a law, a letter, which is how I ended things with my podcast producer, and we're still close.
Hank Ledger · Lead AnchorSo the plan rests on a parking attendant.
Vera Bullock · Co-AnchorAnd I believe in him!
Vera Bullock · Co-AnchorPicture the booth sign: please take a ticket, and please don't ask about our return policy. A parking garage owner saying no to federal agents is like asking a loan shark for ethics training.
Hank Ledger · Lead AnchorThat gate arm has never lifted for anyone who didn't have exact change.
Vera Bullock · Co-AnchorWhich is why the garage owners hold all the power here, Hank, and they've never once used it for good.
Hank Ledger · Lead AnchorNot once. They charge forty dollars to park a Corolla for a lunch, and the only thing they've ever refused anybody is a fair price.
