What BBN said about it

1.

Hank Ledger · Lead AnchorA possible new record under the sea: the world's oldest known shipwreck may have been found off Türkiye. Skip is at the water's edge tonight.

2.

Skip Waverly · Field CorrespondentHank, I'm standing on a rocky Turkish shoreline with the Mediterranean behind me, and a ship that may be older than any wreck ever found is out there somewhere below those waves.

3.

Skip Waverly · Field CorrespondentThis is the biggest assignment of my career, and I'm only a little damp.

4.

Skip Waverly · Field CorrespondentI'm joined by a local fisherman. Sir, how does it feel to share the water with the oldest wreck on record?

5. ED

Emre DaskinHonestly, I thought the sea was all old wrecks. Nobody told me this one was special.

6. ED

Emre DaskinI lost a good net out there last spring and nobody is writing about that.

7.

Skip Waverly · Field CorrespondentA fair point, and one I'll be raising with my producers, who have also lost things, mostly my raise requests.

8.

Skip Waverly · Field CorrespondentThe finding is still described as a possible discovery, so researchers are not done confirming it.

9.

Hank Ledger · Lead AnchorSo it waited all that time to be found.

10.

Skip Waverly · Field CorrespondentIt did, Hank, and after thousands of years underwater, I have to say the wreck looks better than I do right now.

11.

Hank Ledger · Lead AnchorThe boat was found first, Skip.
