College Football Playoff set to expand from 12 to 24 teams

What BBN said about it

1.

Hank Ledger · Lead AnchorWelcome back. The New York Post reports the College Football Playoff will expand from twelve teams to twenty-four, starting in twenty twenty-seven.

2.

Chip Darnell · U.S. News AnchorThe format is nineteen plus four plus one, and the Power Four conference title games are eliminated.

3.

Hank Ledger · Lead AnchorFor fans, that means a bracket nearly twice the size. I'd like the lot number on that bracket, please.

4.

Vera Bullock · Co-AnchorI'll read it out loud for everyone at home, Hank. Lot number, then the expiration date.

5.

Hank Ledger · Lead AnchorPlease don't.

6.

Chip Darnell · U.S. News AnchorTwenty-four teams. That is a lot of Saturdays, and I am thrilled for every one of them.

7.

Vera Bullock · Co-AnchorNearly every fan base gets to dream a little longer. Somebody has to be the twenty-fourth team, and I hope they're delighted.

8.

Chip Darnell · U.S. News AnchorI'm more delighted, Vera. I'm delighted for the twenty-fifth team.

9.

Hank Ledger · Lead AnchorThe twenty-fifth team is not in the format. Moving on to Washington, and to a lawsuit.
