What BBN said about it

Hank Ledger · Lead AnchorTime to pay that off: White House press secretary Katie Zacharia says she misheard a shouted question about where she passed the bar exam.
Hank Ledger · Lead AnchorShe says she assumed the reporter asked where she was after law school, and that is how she came to say she had taken it when she moved to China.
Vera Bullock · Co-AnchorSo the question was about law school, and the answer was about a continent.
Vera Bullock · Co-AnchorI can see how a shouted question gets muddy in a crowded briefing room.
Hank Ledger · Lead AnchorShe explained it in a statement this week, and the flap has been spreading as a political and legal puzzle ever since.
Vera Bullock · Co-AnchorAnd in a briefing room, everyone shouts at once, so you hear whatever you were already thinking about.
Hank Ledger · Lead AnchorI once heard a producer say rolling, and I read the weather for eleven minutes.
Vera Bullock · Co-AnchorEleven minutes?
Hank Ledger · Lead AnchorThere was a front moving in. Nobody stopped me. That is the real lesson of misheard questions.
