Burnham says he wants to 'repair bridges' between Ukraine and US

What BBN said about it

1.

Vera Bullock · Co-AnchorBurnham says he wants to repair bridges between Ukraine and the United States, ahead of a Downing Street meeting between the prime minister and President Zelensky.

2.

Vera Bullock · Co-AnchorWith us is Bartholomew Szczepanski, inmate forty-seven eighteen, calling from Danbury.

3.

Vera Bullock · Co-AnchorSo Bartholomew, you have said you are an expert on bridges. What do you make of the pledge?

4. BS

Bartholomew SzczepanskiStructurally speaking, Vera, it's a good plan. You repair a bridge, people cross it, and nobody asks who collected the tolls in the meantime.

5. BS

Bartholomew SzczepanskiI have views on tolls.

6.

Vera Bullock · Co-AnchorTolls? Those are a strange thing to bring up in a story about diplomacy.

7. BS

Bartholomew SzczepanskiStructurally speaking, a toll booth is just a very small embassy, and I ran one for eleven months without a license. Allegedly. Mostly.

8.

   Vera Bullock · Co-AnchorEleven months.

9. BS

Bartholomew SzczepanskiThe cone was a witness. Look, this is about the two countries.

10. BS

Bartholomew SzczepanskiYou cannot fix a bridge from one side, and I learned that structurally speaking, from a ditch.

11.

Vera Bullock · Co-AnchorBut you didn't answer my question. Is Burnham the right man for the job, yes or no?

12. BS

Bartholomew SzczepanskiStructurally speaking, he needs a good crew and a better cone. I'm available in March, and I'd bring the cone as a reference.

13.

Vera Bullock · Co-AnchorI love a man with a vision board of his own. Still ahead, which fan favorite is Applebee's doubling up, and for how long?

14.

Vera Bullock · Co-AnchorDoes the cone have clearance for Downing Street?

15. BS

Bartholomew SzczepanskiIt has a better record than I do, Vera.

16.

Vera Bullock · Co-AnchorDr. Byte, does your lab have a cone that can survive a prison call?
