What BBN said about it

  1. Gloria Vance · World News AnchorAs we told you earlier, Mayor Zohran Mamdani's October seventh statement drew Israel's rebuke.

  2. Gloria Vance · World News AnchorWhat's new, per CBS News, is that some Democrats are furious too.

  3. Gloria Vance · World News AnchorCBS says the statement recognized three years since Hamas' attack, which it called horrific, and also criticized what it called Israel's ongoing genocide in Gaza.

  4. Gloria Vance · World News AnchorJoining me is consultant Rolf Ashgrove-Penn.

  5. Rolf Ashgrove-PennGloria, thank you. At four thousand dollars an hour, my finding is simple: when people are angry, they are not calm. You're welcome.

  6. Gloria Vance · World News AnchorThat is a very expensive sentence. Is the anger from Democrats a bigger story than the anger from abroad?

  7. Rolf Ashgrove-PennAbsolutely. Our proprietary framework shows that a statement can upset multiple people at the same time. We call it the Overlapping Annoyance Matrix.

  8. Gloria Vance · World News AnchorI have been asked to leave six embassies for less. What would you actually advise a politician in this position?

  9. Rolf Ashgrove-PennStep one, issue a clarification. Step two, clarify the clarification. Step three, send me an invoice for my own breakdown.

  10. Rolf Ashgrove-PennI'm sweating through my second suit.

  11. Gloria Vance · World News AnchorWe'll have to leave it there. CBS has the Democratic reaction, and BBN will watch for whether anyone actually changes a word.
