Rory McIlroy fires back at Kevin Kisner over India appearance fee…

What BBN said about it

1.

Gloria Vance · World News AnchorRory McIlroy has responded to Kevin Kisner, who said McIlroy's trip to the DP World India Championship was driven purely by a large appearance fee.

2.

Gloria Vance · World News AnchorEmeric Vasko studies golf diplomacy. Is this a crisis?

3. ET

Emeric Tolliver VaskoYes. And I warned of it in print, for the sake of clarity, in two thousand eleven, or possibly two thousand fourteen.

4.

Gloria Vance · World News AnchorWhat did you warn of, exactly?

5. ET

Emeric Tolliver VaskoThat a golfer would one day be paid to play golf. And, separately, that he would not be. Today I am vindicated twice.

6.

Gloria Vance · World News AnchorSo both outcomes were predicted. Which one happened?

7. ET

Emeric Tolliver VaskoBoth. Mr. Kisner says money moved him, Mr. McIlroy fired back, and my brass travel clock, which runs four minutes slow in India, confirms it.

8.

Gloria Vance · World News AnchorBut you didn't answer the question. Was he paid or not?

9. ET

Emeric Tolliver VaskoFor the sake of clarity, the data is not yet in. I would call it a fee in principle and a gift in spirit.

10.

Gloria Vance · World News AnchorA fee in principle. I have negotiated with ministries that gave cleaner answers.

11. ET

Emeric Tolliver VaskoMy book addresses it in chapter four, and the second edition, out in spring, addresses the opposite in chapter four.

12.

Gloria Vance · World News AnchorThe second edition already exists?

13. ET

Emeric Tolliver VaskoIt is a draft, and for the sake of clarity, it was finished last Thursday.

14.

Gloria Vance · World News AnchorThe book is forty dollars, Mr. Vasko. Will you be appearing for free?
