What BBN said about it

Chip Darnell · U.S. News AnchorVariety reports that Selvi, from filmmaker Sailesh Rathnakumar, premieres at Busan, about a homecare nurse whose day stretches from twelve hours to seventy-two.
Zephyrine OgunquitSeventy-two. In my process, I once worked a fourteen hour day, and I can tell you it changes a person.
Chip Darnell · U.S. News AnchorAnjali Patil plays the title role and also produces. What do you make of an actor taking on both jobs?
Zephyrine OgunquitExhausting, and I respect it. In my process, I've produced my own smoothies for sixteen hours straight.
Chip Darnell · U.S. News AnchorSmoothies.
Zephyrine OgunquitKale is a commitment, Chip. Anyway, my new project is Hush Hour, where I play a woman who sleeps professionally.
Chip Darnell · U.S. News AnchorSleeps professionally. And how long did the preparation take?
Zephyrine OgunquitIn my process, twenty-two hours of lying still. I came out of it a different woman, and also a little sore.
Chip Darnell · U.S. News AnchorHere's the tough one. Selvi is about real exhaustion. Is it fair for a film about a sleeper to sit near it?
Zephyrine OgunquitI think what matters is that we are all tired in our own way. Next question, I have a lanyard to show you.
Chip Darnell · U.S. News AnchorYou skipped the question, and the lanyard is from a single day of hospital shadowing, correct?
Zephyrine OgunquitIt was a very full day, Chip. They gave me a sandwich and I cried in a supply closet. In my process, forty-eight hours.
Chip Darnell · U.S. News AnchorForty-eight hours?
Zephyrine OgunquitForty minutes. Fine. I stayed forty minutes, and I've never felt so seen by a stapler.
Chip Darnell · U.S. News AnchorThank you for that. Lightning round: favorite shift of the day, morning, evening or night?
Zephyrine OgunquitBrunch. Next.
Chip Darnell · U.S. News AnchorLongest you've ever stayed awake?
Zephyrine OgunquitEleven minutes into a documentary about sleep. I won.
Chip Darnell · U.S. News AnchorHush Hour is in theaters soon. Final plug, then, and I'm tallying your real hours at about forty minutes.
Zephyrine OgunquitSee Hush Hour, and buy my lanyard, which includes the forty minutes. Does that count?
Chip Darnell · U.S. News AnchorIt counts, Zephyrine. And now, Brock, do you work a seventy-two hour day, or does the sky just do it for you?
