What BBN said about it

Hank Ledger · Lead AnchorA viewer on bbn.live asks why the weather in Seattle today is not rainy, and I'll say up front that our data has no Seattle forecast for this morning.
Dr. Nina Byte · Tech & Science CorrespondentSo we can't tell you today's exact reason. What I can give you is the general science, and it's not complicated.
Dr. Nina Byte · Tech & Science CorrespondentSeattle's rain comes in waves of Pacific storms, and between those waves the sky simply clears. Rainy is a tendency there, not a promise.
Hank Ledger · Lead AnchorA tendency.
Dr. Nina Byte · Tech & Science CorrespondentYes. A dry day there is just a gap between systems.
Dr. Nina Byte · Tech & Science CorrespondentFor the real answer, check the National Weather Service forecast for your own zip code.
Hank Ledger · Lead AnchorThe only Seattle item in front of me today is an investment firm based there, and it says nothing about clouds.
Dr. Nina Byte · Tech & Science CorrespondentSo the firm can find undervalued things across an ocean, and we can't find a cloud over Puget Sound.
