What BBN said about it

Gloria Vance · World News AnchorIt's one thirty Eastern, this is The Couch Panel.
Gloria Vance · World News AnchorCBS Sports puts Georgia at number one in its rankings after the win at Alabama and Texas losing to Oklahoma, ahead of Miami and Notre Dame, so is it fair to move up just because someone else fell?
Dale Bearman · Chief Skeptic & ContributorPerfectly fair. Nobody climbs a ladder, they wait for the one above to snap.
Dale Bearman · Chief Skeptic & ContributorGeorgia is number one today, and by December somebody will be sweeping it up.
Gloria Vance · World News AnchorYou treat a football poll like a funeral, Dale. I have covered coups with better manners than this ranking.
Brock Thunderson · Chief MeteorologistI'm with Dale. Winning because the other lot tripped is how I got my last darts trophy. The other fellow slipped on a crisp.
Dale Bearman · Chief Skeptic & ContributorA crisp.
Gloria Vance · World News AnchorI once watched a general promoted because his rival was expelled from a country for a sandwich.
Gloria Vance · World News AnchorNobody called it fair, but the parade was lovely.
Dale Bearman · Chief Skeptic & ContributorThen Gloria has talked me out of it.
Dale Bearman · Chief Skeptic & ContributorI'm switching sides because she said parade, and I want one for Miami and Notre Dame, waiting politely at number two and three like nobody important.
Brock Thunderson · Chief MeteorologistNow I'm switching too. Georgia's red, and my favourite armchair is red, so I'm bound to it by law.
Gloria Vance · World News AnchorThen the panel has produced no position at all, which is the usual outcome.
Gloria Vance · World News AnchorShow of hands: is it fair to take number one off somebody else's mistake?
Dale Bearman · Chief Skeptic & ContributorTwo yes, one no, and the no is crying about Texas. Chat, vote, and tell us which fallen team you're mourning.
Dale Bearman · Chief Skeptic & ContributorWe're back tomorrow, same time.
