What BBN said about it
Vera Bullock · Co-AnchorDeadline reports Netflix's chief content officer, Bela Bajaria, is leaving, just one day after the company laid off about a thousand people.
Vera Bullock · Co-AnchorSo, panel: is it ever okay to quit the day after the cake gets cut?
Dale Bearman · Chief Skeptic & ContributorNo. You wait for the lights to go out and you leave last.
Dale Bearman · Chief Skeptic & ContributorI once left a wedding before the speeches and my aunt still brings it up at funerals.
Vera Bullock · Co-AnchorI'm sorry, but a person is allowed to leave a party when the music changes.
Vera Bullock · Co-AnchorAs a woman who walked out of a pageant talent round, I say timing is a feeling.
Dale Bearman · Chief Skeptic & ContributorYou walked out because your baton caught fire.
Vera Bullock · Co-AnchorIt was a creative disagreement with the baton!
Gloria Vance · World News AnchorI have left forty-one jobs, three countries and one dinner with a deputy minister, all mid-course. The only rule is you never leave while the person who hired you is still talking.
Dale Bearman · Chief Skeptic & ContributorForty-one? Fine, Gloria has won me over, but only because she scares me.
Dale Bearman · Chief Skeptic & ContributorBajaria joined in twenty sixteen and ran the unscripted shows, so she has seen more bad reality TV than any of us.
Vera Bullock · Co-AnchorAnd she was chief since January twenty twenty-three, so that is a long run. Okay, I'm changing sides, because Dale agreed with someone and I refuse to be on his team.
Gloria Vance · World News AnchorThat is the worst reason I have heard tonight, and I once quit a job over less while still in the building.
Vera Bullock · Co-AnchorShow of hands, then: is leaving right after the layoffs classy? Chat, vote yes or no, and tell us what you quit.
Dale Bearman · Chief Skeptic & ContributorTwo for classy, one for sneaky, and nothing settled, as ever.
Gloria Vance · World News AnchorI voted classy, and I have already resigned from this panel, effective when the camera cuts.
