What BBN said about it

1.

Vera Bullock · Co-AnchorThe Devils got three-time Vezina winner Connor Hellebuyck from the Jets, ESPN reports, and Winnipeg hosts the Heritage Classic Saturday.

2.

Vera Bullock · Co-AnchorIs that a smart way to clear the room for your big party?

3.

Gloria Vance · World News AnchorNo. ESPN's sources say the Jets wanted the focus on Saturday against Montreal.

4.

Gloria Vance · World News AnchorThey traded a three-time Vezina winner so nobody would look at the goalie. Bold, with a goalie that good.

5.

Vera Bullock · Co-AnchorI call it a streamlined pregame experience. Fewer headlines, more outdoor ice. A press office would be thrilled with that.

6.

Brock Thunderson · Chief MeteorologistI'm with Gloria, and I've been in an open field in a storm. Nobody hides anything there. The wind carries it to Montreal.

7.

Gloria Vance · World News AnchorHe also said he'd privately asked for a trade months ago.

8.

Gloria Vance · World News AnchorThe suspension for skipping camp cost him just under nine hundred thirty thousand dollars, and it was set to expire the day of the trade.

9.

Vera Bullock · Co-AnchorSo he was quiet about it. That's discretion.

10.

Brock Thunderson · Chief MeteorologistQuiet for months, then the biggest trade in the league lands on a Friday. I felt that in my knees.

11.

Gloria Vance · World News AnchorMercer, Bjugstad, Daws, Command and two picks. For one man. The Jets did not get a goalie, they got a seating chart.

12.

Vera Bullock · Co-AnchorVerdict: two against, one spinning. Chat, vote on whether you'd trade the host before the party.

13.

Brock Thunderson · Chief MeteorologistThe host is the only one who knows where the chairs are. We're back same time tomorrow, and Vera, you're sitting on the floor.
