The real story

The reporting behind this segment. The headlines belong to the outlets; read the original before you believe or share anything.

What BBN said about it

  1. Chip Darnell · U.S. News AnchorZazie Beetz sat down with CBS Mornings to talk about how she prepared for her starring role in Nocturne, the new drama on Apple TV.

  2. Gloria Vance · World News AnchorIt's a ten-episode crime drama with Liev Schreiber and Stephen Graham. It's based on Lars Kepler's bestselling novels Lazarus and The Sandman.

  3. Chip Darnell · U.S. News AnchorTwo episodes arrive on opening night, then one every Friday through December twenty-fifth. That's a Friday-night family tradition right there.

  4. Gloria Vance · World News AnchorThe listing says TV-MA, with advisories for language and violence. I would not call that a family tradition.

  5. Chip Darnell · U.S. News AnchorIs it the kind of language you can say at dinner?

  6. Gloria Vance · World News AnchorThe novels are called Lazarus and The Sandman, Chip. No.

  7. Chip Darnell · U.S. News AnchorWell, Beetz is also an executive producer, through her company, Sleepy Poppy. So somebody involved is thinking about bedtime.

  8. Gloria Vance · World News AnchorCollider gave it seven out of ten, a solid crime thriller that could have been even better. That is my verdict as well.

  9. Chip Darnell · U.S. News AnchorSo the finale lands on Christmas, and I'm bringing cookies. I'll do two batches, one for the violence.
