Carlos Mendoza lands new job with Phillies after being fired by Mets

What BBN said about it

1.

Vera Bullock · Co-AnchorWe promised you this one: Carlos Mendoza, fired by the Mets, has a new job with the Phillies, which is in the same division.

2.

Dale Bearman · Chief Skeptic & ContributorThe same division. So he'll be back at the Mets' ballpark next season, wearing the other color.

3.

Vera Bullock · Co-AnchorI love it. He gets a fresh start and a front row seat to the people who let him go.

4.

Dale Bearman · Chief Skeptic & ContributorA front row seat, Vera, to the one team that knows exactly where all the bodies are buried.

5.

Vera Bullock · Co-AnchorThat's called networking. Some of us get fired and cry in a parking lot, and some get a better parking lot.

6.

Dale Bearman · Chief Skeptic & ContributorParking lot.

7.

Vera Bullock · Co-AnchorYes, Dale, a nicer one, with a little shade structure. I imagine the Phillies have excellent shade.

8.

Dale Bearman · Chief Skeptic & ContributorMark my words, he'll use that shade to scout every Mets signal there is. Every last one.

9.

Vera Bullock · Co-AnchorAnd then he'll mail the Mets a thank you card, because that man has class.

10.

Dale Bearman · Chief Skeptic & ContributorA Phillies logo card going straight to the desk of the people who fired him. Lovely.
