Former NFL QB Salisbury wants officials to face postgame questions

What BBN said about it

1.

Rex "Two-Point" Gridley · Sports AnchorSean Salisbury, the former NFL quarterback, says officials should do postgame interviews on camera, to explain missed calls, just like players and coaches always do.

2.

Rex "Two-Point" Gridley · Sports AnchorSo I'm putting the whole striped-shirt profession in the Hot Seat. Look, the heat is lukewarm right now, and that's the problem.

3.

Rex "Two-Point" Gridley · Sports AnchorNobody has asked them one question.

4.

Chip Darnell · U.S. News AnchorWell, Rex, I think that's a little harsh. They work hard out there, and they're running the whole game.

5.

Rex "Two-Point" Gridley · Sports AnchorChip, the quarterback answers. The coach answers. The guy who decides the game walks up the tunnel and nobody says a word.

6.

Rex "Two-Point" Gridley · Sports AnchorI'm telling you, that is the coolest chair in football.

7.

Chip Darnell · U.S. News AnchorFair question from the fans, though. Would they actually answer?

8.

Rex "Two-Point" Gridley · Sports AnchorThey would not answer, Chip. They'd say they 'reviewed it,' and that would be the whole answer.

9.

Rex "Two-Point" Gridley · Sports AnchorThey stand at a podium, they say what they saw, and they take the follow-up. Until then it's a little warm.

10.

Chip Darnell · U.S. News AnchorAnd I'd like to know what they saw.

11.

Rex "Two-Point" Gridley · Sports AnchorThey'd say it's under review. Still lukewarm, Chip.
