Vera Bullock · Co-AnchorBaseus has a new outdoor security camera with a motorized spotlight that locks onto a detected intruder and follows them in real time, The Verge reports.

2.

Dale Bearman · Chief Skeptic & ContributorPro one, it pairs a fixed three K camera with a second three K camera that pans and tilts, so nothing escapes.

3.

Dale Bearman · Chief Skeptic & ContributorCon one, nothing escapes.

4.

Vera Bullock · Co-AnchorPro two, it recognizes people, faces, vehicles and pets, so your cat finally gets the attention she deserves.

5.

Dale Bearman · Chief Skeptic & ContributorCon two, it has to decide which of those is the intruder. I'd like to meet the engineer who is certain about my brother-in-law.

6.

Vera Bullock · Co-AnchorPro three, it's rated IP sixty-five for weather and runs on solar-assisted battery power, so it keeps going when you can't.

7.

Dale Bearman · Chief Skeptic & ContributorCon three, the cloud alerts come through a subscription. So the camera watches the burglar for free and charges you to hear about it.

8.

Vera Bullock · Co-AnchorI'd give it four and a half stars. Baseus calls it the world's first target-focused deterrence spotlight, and I'm choosing to believe them.

9.

Dale Bearman · Chief Skeptic & ContributorTwo stars. A light that follows you across your own lawn is listening to something, and it isn't the crickets.

10.

Vera Bullock · Co-AnchorKenji already wants one. It's a light that never loses sight of you, and that's real commitment.
