What BBN said about it
Kenji Moonfield · Internet & Trends CorrespondentThe Hill reports Senator Marsha Blackburn is defending a video that looks AI-generated, with her in Kendrick Lamar's spot at the Super Bowl halftime show.
Kenji Moonfield · Internet & Trends CorrespondentShe claims no offense was meant.
Dr. Nina Byte · Tech & Science CorrespondentI've never seen the clip. I've only seen the defense of it.
Kenji Moonfield · Internet & Trends CorrespondentOkay, we go to the replay booth. Frame one, she's in the halftime spot. Frame two, the backlash.
Kenji Moonfield · Internet & Trends CorrespondentThe turning point is the sentence about intent.
Dr. Nina Byte · Tech & Science CorrespondentIntent isn't in the footage. You can pause on any frame and it won't be there.
Kenji Moonfield · Internet & Trends CorrespondentIt's the first thing anyone says right after offending. I've watched it four times, and I can't find the intent anywhere.
Dr. Nina Byte · Tech & Science CorrespondentThen the call stands. She shared the video, and that part is on the record.
Kenji Moonfield · Internet & Trends CorrespondentFinal score, zero intent, one posted clip. Brock, what's the forecast for a senator in the replay booth?
