Dark Matter finale leaves Season 3 unannounced as fans wait

What BBN said about it

1.

Vera Bullock · Co-AnchorOur guest this morning stars in the sci-fi thriller Hollow Orbit, and he has strong views on the Apple TV series Dark Matter.

2.

Vera Bullock · Co-AnchorThaddeus Okonkwo-Reyes, thanks for joining us.

3. TO

Thaddeus Okonkwo-ReyesThank you, Vera. I'm up early. I'm always up early, in case a script arrives.

4.

Vera Bullock · Co-AnchorThe season two finale, called No Quiet Life, ended with Daniela and Charlie trapped in another world, according to /Film. Did you watch it?

5. TO

Thaddeus Okonkwo-ReyesOf course. I've heard it said the finale ends with Jason's dog trapped in a box. Devastating stuff.

6.

Vera Bullock · Co-AnchorThe final shot was Jason's family. Not a dog.

7. TO

Thaddeus Okonkwo-ReyesThe family had a dog energy. Look, the point is, Blake Crouch says he pitched Apple three seasons, so season three is basically happening.

8.

Vera Bullock · Co-AnchorLiberty One News says Apple hadn't announced a third season as of the finale. So is that a yes?

9. TO

Thaddeus Okonkwo-ReyesIt's a yes in the world where I'm already in it. I've heard it said I'm very good in that one.

10.

Vera Bullock · Co-AnchorYou're not in the show.

11. TO

Thaddeus Okonkwo-ReyesNot in this branch. Tell me about your project, I mean, let me tell you about mine.

12.

Vera Bullock · Co-AnchorPlease. Hollow Orbit.

13. TO

Thaddeus Okonkwo-ReyesI play a man who has to repair a space station using only his memories. There's no script, only my gold alarm clock.

14.

Vera Bullock · Co-AnchorThe season two finale has an hour on the clock, Jason and Blair shutting the box down. How would you handle that deadline?

15. TO

Thaddeus Okonkwo-ReyesI'd stop it with less than a minute left. I've heard it said that's how Jason did it, and he's very punctual.

16.

Vera Bullock · Co-AnchorThat part you got right. But you never answered whether you've seen the show.

17. TO

Thaddeus Okonkwo-ReyesI watched the trailer. Twice. The second time for the dog.

18.

Vera Bullock · Co-AnchorThank you. Lightning round. Season two score on Rotten Tomatoes, which was a Certified Fresh eighty-two percent?

19. TO

    Thaddeus Okonkwo-ReyesNinety-four.

20.

    Vera Bullock · Co-AnchorEighty-two.

21. TO

Thaddeus Okonkwo-ReyesIn my branch it's ninety-four. Next question.

22.

Vera Bullock · Co-AnchorSeason one and two had a two-year gap. How long would you wait for a third?

23. TO

Thaddeus Okonkwo-ReyesTwo years, easily. I'd just sit here with my alarm clock. It's gold-plated, so it's patient.

24.

Vera Bullock · Co-AnchorHollow Orbit is out soon, and your plan is a three-season pitch Apple hasn't announced anything about.

25.

Vera Bullock · Co-AnchorThaddeus, in this world, you're still the one waiting for the call.
