What BBN said about it

1.

Vera Bullock · Co-AnchorDe La Soul's Pos says he'd recommend any Barry White record for a romantic evening, but he has never tried making love to his own music.

2.

Vera Bullock · Co-AnchorSenator Wendell Ashgrove joins us. Senator, your reaction?

3. SW

Senator Wendell AshgroveVera, I'm glad you asked, because in nineteen ninety-one I personally recommended Barry White to this district, and turnout has been very warm.

4.

Vera Bullock · Co-AnchorPos also recommends Marvin Gaye's Let's Get It On. Did you recommend that one too?

5. SW

Senator Wendell AshgroveYes. That was in my first term, and I would like it on the record that the record was my idea.

6.

Vera Bullock · Co-AnchorHe also tears up at Stevie Wonder's I Love Every Little Thing About You. Is that a policy position?

7. SW

Senator Wendell AshgroveIt is now. When I took office in nineteen eighty-four, I had the same reaction, and I was moved to act.

9. SW

Senator Wendell AshgroveThe previous senator's paperwork was a mess. Frankly, so was the previous senator. He was me, but earlier.

10.

Vera Bullock · Co-AnchorPos says he never tried his own music for romance. I'd call that a candid, pre-launch quality assessment with no further testing required.

11. SW

Senator Wendell AshgroveA leader should never use a product he hasn't tested, Vera. That's what staff are for.

12.

Vera Bullock · Co-AnchorCabin in the Sky is their ninth album and it's out now. Would you take credit for that?

13. SW

Senator Wendell AshgroveI would take half. The good half.

14.

Vera Bullock · Co-AnchorSenator, rating: your romantic record gets a seven. Have you ever tried your own budget in the bedroom?

15. SW

Senator Wendell AshgroveNever, Vera, and I'm told that's exactly why it's so popular.
