What BBN said about it

Lola Cruz · Senior Field CorrespondentDarializa Avila Chevalier says she and Mayor Mamdani spoke just recently and remain comrades.
Lola Cruz · Senior Field CorrespondentThe rift is over calls to fire Police Commissioner Jessica Tisch, and the New York Post reports Avila Chevalier gushed over the mayor anyway.
Hank Ledger · Lead AnchorWho confirmed the call?
Lola Cruz · Senior Field CorrespondentOnly the candidate, Hank.
Lola Cruz · Senior Field CorrespondentI've covered twenty years of ceasefires, and a claim from one side that everybody is getting along is usually the first thing to get checked.
Hank Ledger · Lead AnchorSo the friendship is real, and the evidence is a phone call only one of them has described. That's a very solid comrade.
