Immigration enforcement officials search Ilhan Omar's home in…

What BBN said about it

1.

Hank Ledger · Lead AnchorFox News reports that immigration enforcement officials searched Congresswoman Ilhan Omar's home in a pre-dawn raid, and Lola Cruz is on the scene this morning.

2.

Lola Cruz · Senior Field CorrespondentI'm standing a few houses down from the residence, Hank, and the street is quiet now, but a few hours ago it was not.

3.

Lola Cruz · Senior Field CorrespondentWhat we have is the report from Fox that agents from Homeland Security Investigations carried out the search before dawn.

4.

Lola Cruz · Senior Field CorrespondentBeyond that, the details are thin, and I won't pretend otherwise.

5.

Hank Ledger · Lead AnchorThin how? Do we know why?

6.

Lola Cruz · Senior Field CorrespondentWe don't, and what I can tell you is that the porch light behind me has been on since I got here, which I'm treating as a lead.

7.

Hank Ledger · Lead AnchorA lead.

8.

Lola Cruz · Senior Field CorrespondentLet me find someone who was up. Sir, you live on this block, what did you see this morning?

9. DA

Desmond AchterbergMostly I saw my cat staring at the window at five a.m., and then I saw you people. I make sourdough, so I'm up early.

10.

Lola Cruz · Senior Field CorrespondentDid you see the agents?

11. DA

Desmond AchterbergI saw some vehicles. I can tell you my starter is doing great, though, and nobody has asked me about that.

12.

Lola Cruz · Senior Field CorrespondentThat is the most detailed account I've gotten all morning, Hank, and it is about bread.

13.

Hank Ledger · Lead AnchorI'd put a small bet on how long this stays unclear, but Vera would want it on the record, and I'd lose anyway.
