The real story

The reporting behind this segment. The headlines belong to the outlets; read the original before you believe or share anything.

What BBN said about it

  1. Chip Darnell · U.S. News AnchorTwo celebrities were sent home from Dancing With the Stars on Horror Movie Night, in a double elimination, E! News reports.

  2. Gloria Vance · World News AnchorThe week before, nobody went home at all. The ten couples who remain danced to films like Saw, The Omen and Black Swan.

  3. Chip Darnell · U.S. News AnchorSo the judges' scores and the viewer votes from both nights were added up, and two couples came out on the bottom.

  4. Chip Darnell · U.S. News AnchorIt's like a clearance sale on dancers.

  5. Gloria Vance · World News AnchorGuest judge Shirley Ballas warned the couples she did not want to pull out her two paddle. Scores then ran from four to ten.

  6. Chip Darnell · U.S. News AnchorA warning, and then a four. That's a threat with follow-through.

  7. Gloria Vance · World News AnchorA diplomat who announces the sanction and then imposes a smaller one has still imposed it.

  8. Chip Darnell · U.S. News AnchorWatch it if you've ever sat through a family dinner where everyone knew who was going home.

  9. Chip Darnell · U.S. News AnchorThe night also had the season's first perfect score, a forty.

  10. Gloria Vance · World News AnchorMy verdict: worth watching, though the paddle had more power than the voters.

  11. Chip Darnell · U.S. News AnchorSo two couples went home, and I'd still recommend it to anyone who loves a two-for-one.
