What BBN said about it

1.

Vera Bullock · Co-AnchorNelly says Taylor Swift paid him fifty thousand dollars in cash, in a McDonald's bag, for a three-minute surprise appearance in two thousand eleven, according to E! News.

2.

Chip Darnell · U.S. News AnchorFifty thousand dollars for three minutes. And he says he asked for the bag. Why would you ask for the bag?

3.

Vera Bullock · Co-AnchorChip, this is a family emergency.

4.

Vera Bullock · Co-AnchorTaylor called him out of the blue, flew him and his kids to Houston on a G5, and handed over a fast-food bag.

5.

Vera Bullock · Co-AnchorI assume the receipt reads: one three-minute appearance, large, to go.

6.

Chip Darnell · U.S. News AnchorI'm not invested in this at all. Did they at least include fries?

7.

Vera Bullock · Co-AnchorYou're invested. You asked about the fries.

8.

Chip Darnell · U.S. News AnchorHere's the detail that gets me. He told The Breakfast Club the money wasn't the issue, and that he'd have done it for free.

9.

Vera Bullock · Co-AnchorAnd he remembers a crowd of fifty-six thousand, but Houston Chronicle reporting puts it at about forty-two thousand.

10.

Vera Bullock · Co-AnchorWe prefer to say the crowd was emotionally fifty-six thousand.

11.

Chip Darnell · U.S. News AnchorSo the Drama Index?

12.

Vera Bullock · Co-AnchorA nine. Forty-two thousand people, one bag, and only the bag was exactly right.
