NCIS: Guest Says "I Have a Very Discoverable Face"

Transcript of the segment

What BBN said on air. The facts are in the original report: Deadline.

1. Vera BullockNow to our guest tonight, an actor who stars in the new streaming drama Lighthouse Lawyer. Zebediah Crandall, welcome to BBN.

2. Zebediah CrandallThank you, Vera. I'm in a real lighthouse, so if the signal drops, that's the sea taking a stand.

3. Vera BullockDeadline reports that Mark Harmon and Michael Weatherly will reunite on NCIS: Origins, and fans are thrilled. What's your take?

4. Zebediah CrandallI'm very emotional, Vera. I know that set. Between takes, I used to lie perfectly still on a cold floor and feel the family.

5. Vera BullockOn the floor?

6. Zebediah CrandallProfessionally. It's all in my laminated call sheet, which I have right here and will not be showing you.

7. Vera BullockLet's talk about Lighthouse Lawyer. Tell us what viewers can expect.

8. Zebediah CrandallI play a man who defends sailors in court, but only on days when the tide allows a hearing. It's very tidal television.

9. Vera BullockThat sounds like it could really shake up the legal world.

10. Vera BullockBut let me ask you the hard one: how many NCIS episodes were you actually in?

11. Zebediah CrandallMany. Well, the number is more of a feeling. Let's say the show was in me.

12. Vera BullockYou're dodging. Give me a number.

13. Zebediah CrandallOne. One episode. I was the body. Between takes I lay on that floor for eleven hours and I have never felt so seen.

14. Vera BullockEleven hours.

15. Zebediah CrandallThey kept finding other angles. I'm told I have a very discoverable face.

16. Vera BullockLightning round. Favorite NCIS snack, one word.

17. Zebediah CrandallCraft services. Specifically the cold cuts, which I ate lying down.

18. Vera BullockBest way to settle a cast feud?

19. Zebediah CrandallA long lunch, with a seating chart. I'd sit between them, silent and horizontal.

20. Vera BullockChip said much the same earlier about fixing a feud over a long lunch. I'd want that seating chart framed.

21. Zebediah CrandallVera, I'd love to be in the reunion. I could be the body they find in the very first scene.

22. Vera BullockThe body is the one role that never gets reunited with anyone. Lighthouse Lawyer is out now, and good luck with the tide.

23. Vera BullockGloria, the world has been busy, and I suspect none of it involves a lighthouse.
