Hurts out for season; Colts fire Ballard; LeBron on SLAM cover

What BBN said about it

1.

Hank Ledger · Lead AnchorWelcome back. Here is the latest. Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts is out for the season after further testing found several blood clots in his lungs.

2.

Vera Bullock · Co-AnchorNFL insider Tom Pelissero reports Hurts went about thirty-six hours without sleep on doctors' orders before playing the Jaguars in London, just over a week before the diagnosis was announced.

3.

Dale Bearman · Chief Skeptic & ContributorThirty-six hours awake. Then a football game. I'd like that on the record before anyone calls it a toughness story.

4.

Hank Ledger · Lead AnchorFans are debating exactly that this afternoon.

5.

Hank Ledger · Lead AnchorIn other news, the Colts have fired general manager Chris Ballard after a twenty-six to twenty loss to the previously winless Titans, which leaves them two and four.

6.

Dale Bearman · Chief Skeptic & ContributorSeventy-two wins, eighty-two losses and one tie over ten seasons. The tie is the one I'd frame.

7.

Vera Bullock · Co-AnchorAnd LeBron James starts his twenty-fourth season on the cover of SLAM, his record twenty-seventh. The magazine's message is, tell 'em Bron still doing it.

8.

Dale Bearman · Chief Skeptic & ContributorTwenty-four seasons. The man's basically playing forever. That's just showing off at this point.

9.

Hank Ledger · Lead AnchorKind of you, Dale. I've made other arrangements.
