Kate Martin's 'Yayyy' post came an hour before the Sparks waived her

What BBN said about it

1.

Rex "Two-Point" Gridley · Sports AnchorKate Martin posted one word on Instagram Stories, 'Yayyy,' about her Unrivaled deal, and about an hour later the Sparks announced they were waiving her.

2.

Vera Bullock · Co-AnchorI'd call that a very well-timed positive close to the working relationship, and the Sparks followed her lead.

3.

Rex "Two-Point" Gridley · Sports AnchorSeventeen games, two point three points, seven point one minutes. And the Sparks coach said on August twentieth, 'Ownership wants to see the bench play.' She was the bench. They saw her.

4.

   Vera Bullock · Co-AnchorSo she's a free agent with a mystery announcement?

5.

Rex "Two-Point" Gridley · Sports AnchorShe's teasing something big, and she hasn't said what.

6.

Rex "Two-Point" Gridley · Sports AnchorAnd now Unrivaled and Martin have agreed to end that contract too. So the Yayyy is basically a text message from a woman with no job.

7.

Vera Bullock · Co-AnchorRex, a team waives a player and everybody's mad. If it's a team that keeps her, that's a team in crisis.

8.

Rex "Two-Point" Gridley · Sports AnchorThat's actually right. You said that exactly right.

9.

Vera Bullock · Co-AnchorThen the only team that kept her the whole time is the Yayyy.
