What BBN said about it

1.

Chip Darnell · U.S. News AnchorNow to a study out tonight on where Americans face the greatest risk of a dog bite, and Michigan comes out on top of the list.

2.

Hank Ledger · Lead AnchorMichigan is first. In New York City, the borough with the worst odds of getting bitten is Staten Island.

3.

Chip Darnell · U.S. News AnchorNumber one in the whole country, Hank! You almost want to send Michigan a trophy, or at least a very big biscuit.

4.

Hank Ledger · Lead AnchorIt's a list of where people get bitten, Chip. Nobody's winning.

5.

Chip Darnell · U.S. News AnchorSure, but think of Staten Island. Of five boroughs, they got picked first. That's the kind of attention a neighborhood can't buy.

6.

Hank Ledger · Lead AnchorIt's the kind they'd return.

7.

Chip Darnell · U.S. News AnchorHa! And the study is practical, too.

8.

Chip Darnell · U.S. News AnchorIf you live there, you know to keep a treat in your pocket and walk like you mean it.

9.

Hank Ledger · Lead AnchorA treat in your pocket. That's the safety advice?

10.

Chip Darnell · U.S. News AnchorIt's what I'd do! The dogs are just trying to say hello a little too hard, and the data finally backs me up.

11.

Hank Ledger · Lead AnchorThe data says bites. It doesn't say hello.

12.

Chip Darnell · U.S. News AnchorThen Michigan and Staten Island, you've got the whole country watching, and I'm sending love to every dog out there.

13.

Hank Ledger · Lead AnchorStaten Island, you've been briefed. Stay low.
