Mysuru Dasara drone peacock sets Guinness record with 3,473 drones

What BBN said about it

1.

Vera Bullock · Co-AnchorOur next guest runs the lighting authority behind the Mysuru Dasara drone show, where three thousand four hundred seventy-three drones formed a peacock and set a Guinness record.

2.

   Vera Bullock · Co-AnchorTobias Amundsen-Rao, congratulations.

3. TA

Tobias Amundsen-RaoThank you, Vera. The peacock went exactly as planned, and so did the turnout, which I'd like to talk about, because nobody else is.

4.

Vera Bullock · Co-AnchorSo let's talk about it. The grounds seat thirty-three thousand five hundred, and attendance went above forty thousand. Was that planned?

5. TA

Tobias Amundsen-RaoYes. Every one of them, as planned.

6. TA

Tobias Amundsen-RaoAnd more than twenty thousand more gathered outside, which was also as planned, because I drew a circle around the word outside on this chart.

7.

Vera Bullock · Co-AnchorA circle. Did the chart say what those twenty thousand would see?

8. TA

Tobias Amundsen-RaoThe peacock, as planned. Ten kilometers away, the company tells us, under suitable viewing conditions. Outside was always the premium section.

9.

   Vera Bullock · Co-AnchorPremium.

10. TA

Tobias Amundsen-RaoFree parking, no seat, no crowding.

11. TA

Tobias Amundsen-RaoThe seated people were the budget option, and a visitor from Bengaluru said, "My daughter kept asking if the peacock was real."

12. TA

Tobias Amundsen-RaoNobody asks that about a curb.

13.

Vera Bullock · Co-AnchorBut did you plan the curb, or did the curb just happen to you?

14. TA

Tobias Amundsen-RaoOutside was the section we sold out first, Vera.

15.

Vera Bullock · Co-AnchorRex, I hear the home team has a seating problem too, and nobody drew a circle.
