What BBN said about it
Hank Ledger · Lead AnchorParaguay's Chaco says it now holds the Guinness record for the world's largest ox cart, built entirely from lapacho wood in Loma Plata.
Dr. Nina Byte · Tech & Science CorrespondentThe Asunción Times has it at fifteen point nine metres long, six point four wide and six point nine high, measured by engineers with calibrated digital equipment.
Hank Ledger · Lead AnchorAnd La Nación says sixteen long, seven high and four metres wide.
Dr. Nina Byte · Tech & Science CorrespondentFour versus six point four.
Dr. Nina Byte · Tech & Science CorrespondentThat's two point four metres, which is a whole second cart's worth of shoulder room, and it's the one measurement a record exists to settle.
Hank Ledger · Lead AnchorA Guinness judge reportedly came from Bogotá to hand over the certificate, so somebody had a tape measure.
Dr. Nina Byte · Tech & Science CorrespondentTen days of assembly, eight people, and not one of them wrote it down.
Hank Ledger · Lead AnchorThe sixty-five smaller carts are meant to be used in a twenty-one-day caravan in June twenty twenty-seven.
Hank Ledger · Lead AnchorOur rating is Moderately Bonkers: biggest ox cart on earth, and apparently the stretchiest. Rex, did anyone measure your field?
