What BBN said about it

  1. Chip Darnell · U.S. News AnchorFolks, we have team coverage tonight, because FOX6 News Milwaukee reports the Racine Zoo has welcomed a newborn Hartmann's mountain zebra.

  2. Dr. Nina Byte · Tech & Science CorrespondentOne zebra. Born. At a zoo, which is where zebras are meant to be born.

  3. Chip Darnell · U.S. News AnchorOur live map shows Racine, Wisconsin, glowing bright on the lakeshore, and the foal is already standing on all four legs, which we are treating as a major development.

  4. Dr. Nina Byte · Tech & Science CorrespondentThat's what legs are for.

  5. Chip Darnell · U.S. News AnchorAnd the stripes are still coming in, Nina.

  6. Chip Darnell · U.S. News AnchorOur zebra desk says no pattern has been called, and the black and the white are neck and neck.

  7. Dr. Nina Byte · Tech & Science CorrespondentA zebra is born with its stripes. Nothing is coming in, and nobody is waiting on a recount.

  8. Chip Darnell · U.S. News AnchorToo close to call, then. We'll stay on those stripes all night.
