What BBN said about it

  1. Gloria Vance · World News AnchorThe president announced on Truth Social that Greenland holds oil, gas and mineral reserves that experts say rival almost any land, and he calls it a national security matter.

  2. Gloria Vance · World News AnchorDetails remain unclear, so I've asked Ignatius Boyle, inmate forty thousand seven hundred eighteen, to join us from a minimum-security prison.

  3. Ignatius BoyleGlad to be here, Gloria. I read the post twice on the library computer, and on paper, it was mine.

  4. Gloria Vance · World News AnchorWhat was yours?

  5. Ignatius BoyleNothing, ma'am. I mean the principle. You announce a thing, you wave a laminated map at it, and people tend to nod.

  6. Ignatius BoyleThat is more or less how I ended up here.

  7. Gloria Vance · World News AnchorSo you're saying an announcement is not the same as a survey.

  8. Ignatius BoyleLegally, no.

  9. Ignatius BoylePractically, I once sold a lakefront on paper, and on paper, it was mine, and so was most of the lake next to it.

  10. Ignatius BoyleNobody checked the water.

  11. Gloria Vance · World News AnchorThe lake.

  12. Ignatius BoyleAnd I'm told Greenland has a lot of ice, which, between us, is just a lake with ambition.

  13. Ignatius BoyleI'd advise anyone to check the corner of the map first. Mine is torn off.

  14. Gloria Vance · World News AnchorThank you, Mr. Boyle, that is a lot of confidence for a man with no details.

  15. Ignatius BoyleDoes Greenland need a librarian? I already know where the corner is.
