Former Miss Israel dares NYC first lady to second sitdown

What BBN said about it

1.

Hank Ledger · Lead AnchorThe New York Post reports that former Miss Israel Melanie Shiraz is daring New York City's first lady, Rama Duwaji, to a second sitdown after an awkward run-in.

2.

Hank Ledger · Lead AnchorShiraz told the Post she wants to give Duwaji, quote, another chance to do the right thing.

3.

Hank Ledger · Lead AnchorAnd the offer, per the headline, is that the coffee is on her.

4.

Vera Bullock · Co-AnchorA free coffee and a second chance. I have built entire retreats on less, and I charged nine hundred dollars.

5.

   Hank Ledger · Lead AnchorIt's a coffee.

6.

Vera Bullock · Co-AnchorIt's a healing circle with a latte. Somebody needs to bring a talking stick, a mediator, and a really supportive oat milk.

7.

Hank Ledger · Lead AnchorThe Post doesn't say whether Duwaji has answered, so for now it's one invitation and zero confirmed lattes.

8.

Vera Bullock · Co-AnchorThen I'd say they should meet at a neutral location. Like a coffee shop. Which, technically, is already neutral.

9.

10.

Vera Bullock · Co-AnchorOf the croissant. Pastry rises under pressure, much like relationships that start with caffeine and goodwill.

11.

Hank Ledger · Lead AnchorIf they do meet, at least we know the conversation won't be awkward. They've already practiced.
