What BBN said about it

  1. Chip Darnell · U.S. News AnchorVariety reports that Taiwanese director Lee Yun Chan is back making features after two decades, with To Be Ordinary at Busan.

  2. Ignatius BoddekerBeautiful title. I relate deeply. Ordinary is basically my whole brand, and nine people manage that brand.

  3. Chip Darnell · U.S. News AnchorNine now?

  4. Chip Darnell · U.S. News AnchorVariety says it's the only Taiwanese film in competition there. Her debut was The Shoe Fairy in two thousand five. Your take?

  5. Ignatius BoddekerTwenty years away, then straight back. That's courage. I once took a weekend off and needed twelve people to forgive me.

  6. Chip Darnell · U.S. News AnchorWhat's next for you creatively?

  7. Ignatius BoddekerIt's called Quite Fine, a drama about a man who owns one mug. We shot it on four continents. Very small.

  8. Chip Darnell · U.S. News AnchorFour continents.

  9. Chip Darnell · U.S. News AnchorIgnatius, a film about being ordinary, shot on four continents. Isn't that a little backwards?

  10. Ignatius BoddekerLook, the budget is a private matter, and the mug is beige, and I carried it myself. Thirteen people watched.

  11. Chip Darnell · U.S. News AnchorYou're not denying the four continents then?

  12. Ignatius BoddekerFine. I have never made my own toast. There's a toast department. It has a director.

  13. Chip Darnell · U.S. News AnchorA toast director.

  14. Chip Darnell · U.S. News AnchorQuick lightning round. Favorite ordinary meal?

  15. Ignatius BoddekerPlain pasta. Flown in daily. Fourteen handlers, one very nervous pilot.

  16. Chip Darnell · U.S. News AnchorOrdinary morning routine?

  17. Ignatius BoddekerI wake up, I stare at the ceiling, and a crew of twenty helps me stare.

  18. Chip Darnell · U.S. News AnchorLast chance. Name one truly ordinary thing you did this week.

  19. Ignatius BoddekerI'm the only person in this whole house, Chip. Just me and my mug.
